Muesli is a mix of wholesome goodness comprised of oats, seeds, dried fruit, and nuts. It kicks your day off with loads of fiber, antioxidants, and healthy fats! It’s a great alternative for sugary cereals in the morning and it’s an easy on-the-go choice for busy mornings. I usually buy the prepackaged kind so that it helps shave off minutes during the morning routine. Bob’s Red Mill Old Country Style Muesli comes with slivered almonds, raisins, and sunflower seeds and it’s my favorite!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup muesli mix
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup of slivered almonds (or any choice of nut for added texture)
1 medjool date
Instructions:
Add muesli mix and your choice of milk. I prefer almond milk but you can milk of your choice, e.g. cashew, oat, etc. If the consistency of the almond milk is very thick, add a splash of water.
Slice 1 medjool date into fourths, and then chop each slice into sixths so that you get a piece in every bite.
Let it sit for about 10 minutes and enjoy!
It can also be enjoyed hot by adding warm milk to the muesli. Switch up the fruit and nut pairings for added variety. Bananas and walnuts pair well together as do cashews and raisins. Sprinkle some chia seeds on top for added nutrition.
